Daniel Rueda Blanco

*1993, Colombia

Daniel Rueda-Blanco has been Associate Conductor of the Medellin Philharmonic Orchestra (Colombia) since 2025.

He recently made his debut at the Musikalische Komödie Leipzig and with the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra. In 2024 Daniel had debuts as an opera conductor at the Stadttheater Gießen and the Staatstheater Mainz. Daniel was also Assistant Conductor of the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra (2022/23) and Principal Conductor of the Orchestra of the Musikverein St. Pölten (2019-2022).

As a guest conductor, he has conducted the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Elbland Philharmonie Sachsen, the Erzgebirgische Philharmonie Aue, the Neubrandemburger Philharmonie, the Webern Kammerphilharmonie, the Freixenet Chamber Orchestra, the CON FUOCO Chamber Orchestra, the Folkwang Chamber Orchestra Essen, the Orchestra of the Central Conservatory of Beijing and the ProArte Orchestra Vienna, among others.

Daniel completed his master's degree in orchestral conducting at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with honours. He is currently on the artist list of the 'Konzertförderung Forum Dirigieren'.
