Michael Alber (Chairman)
Professor of choral conducting at the Trossingen State University of Music
Michael Alber studied at the conservatories in Stuttgart, Vienna, and Trossingen. From an early age, he worked with both professional and amateur ensembles. For twenty years, he served as chorus master at the Stuttgart State Theater. To this day, he regularly works and performs with radio choirs in Germany, the Dutch and French Radio Choirs, the Chorwerk Ruhr, the German Chamber Choir, the Orpheus Vocal Ensemble, and many others.
His extensive repertoire ranges from the Renaissance to the avant-garde, from a cappella works to oratorios and choral symphonies. He has also conducted numerous world premieres, concert recordings, and CD recordings.
Since 2012, Michael Alber has served as a professor of choral conducting at the Trossingen State University of Music.
